Long Short Modifier Node


The Long/Short Modifier node provides many unique ways to manipulate the Long & Short confidence values as explained in the Options > Mode parameter.

Options

Swap
This mode simply reverses the Long & Short inputs.  A Long input will be changed to a Short output, and a Short input will be changed to a Long output.

Mirror Long
The Long input is mirrored onto the Short output, and the Short input is discarded.

Mirror Short
The Short input is mirrored onto the Long output, and the Long input is discarded.

Average
This mode performs the mathematical formula, Output = ( Long + Short ) ÷ 2.  The Output is mirrored.

Maximum
This takes the maximum Long or Short input, and mirrors it to the Output.

Minimum
This takes the minimum Long or Short input, and mirrors it to the Output.

Product
This mode performs a multiplication formula, Output = Long × Short. The Output is then mirrored.

Addition
This mode performs an addition formula, Output = Long + Short, with a maximum output of 1.  The Output is then mirrored.

Difference
This mode performs the following subtraction formulas as selected in the Difference Mode parameter: Long-Short, the Absolute result is mirrored in the output. Short-Long, the Absolute result is mirrored in the output. Absolute takes the largest result of the two formulas and mirrors it in the output.

None
No calculation or modification is performed.

When True, Long confidence values pass through the Output.  When False, calculations are performed internally on the Long confidence, but disabled at the Output.

When True, Short confidence values pass through the Output.  When False, calculations are performed internally on the Short confidence, but disabled at the Output.
